yogax TEACHER TRAINING
With growing scientific evidence to support its use in healthcare settings, yoga has become a powerful integrative treatment to improve the health and wellbeing of patients in integrated, conventional, allied, and healthcare settings. Patients who may benefit from yoga include those receiving general medical care, mental health treatment, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and primary care, to name but a few.
YogaX at Stanford Psychiatry is offering unique teacher training programs geared toward:
healthcare providers and students from diverse disciplines who seek to supplement their ongoing patient services with yoga or to serve as yoga professionals in a variety of healthcare and allied healthcare settings, providing yoga classes, therapeutic yoga interventions, and yoga therapy
yoga professionals who seek to work in integrated and allied healthcare settings in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Graduates from YogaX programs will be prepared to work interprofessionally and collaboratively with other healthcare providers on behalf of their patients. They will be committed to facilitating an integrated and continuous healthcare experience for their clientele and within their practice settings.
YogaX Teacher Trainers (YTTs) provide scientifically informed yoga training developed to enhance the wellbeing of individuals and communities. The YogaX Team's vision invites future yoga teachers to learn, grow, and contribute to their students’ personal and relational health and wellbeing, as well as to the betterment of society through social action and engagement.
