Learn how to use yoga psychology to better understand your yoga students or mental health clients and to use yoga-and mindfulness-based strategies to support their resilience, mental health, and emotional well-being.  Also explore how you can apply these principles to your own self-care and wellness.

In this 6-hr workshop, yoga teachers and health professionals will explore how yoga psychology blends with current psychological research on trauma to learn how make yoga practices accessible and healing to students with histories of trauma-related symptoms.

CONCEPTUALIZING YOGA FOR MENTAL HEALTH

This 15-hour online workshop dives into intra- and interpersonal contexts for a biopsychosociocultural understanding of how humans develop and cultivate resilience and mental wellbeing. This integrated and holistic model is then applied to a variety of emotional and mental manifestations present in yoga students and teachers. Participants learn how to use the biopsycho-sociocultural model to build holistic and integrated yoga prevention, wellness, and healing plans for themselves and their students.

Apply the skills of adapting posture practices, breathing, concentration, and meditation to the individual needs and presentations of each student. Practice and apply practical skills in this highly experiential and exploratory settings, with direct observation and feedback from the instructors.

This workshop explores the varied foundations of an integrated yoga practice, moving beyond western conceptions of yoga as physical exercise. It outlines the
complex layers of self as identified in yoga wisdom, along with a deep
